Mukaantulon is a term that originates from the Zulu language, meaning "to turn back" or "to retreat." It is often used in the context of military strategy, particularly in the context of the Zulu Wars, where it refers to a specific type of defensive formation employed by the Zulu warriors. This formation involves the Zulu soldiers turning their backs to the enemy, presenting a narrow front to the enemy's attack while their broad backs are protected by the terrain and their shields.
