Mountfitchet

Mountfitchet is a locality in Essex, England, forming part of the village of Stansted Mountfitchet in the Uttlesford district. It lies in the county’s southeast, close to Stansted Mountfitchet and the Stansted Airport complex. The name derives from the hill on which a Norman fortress once stood, and the area is best known for Mountfitchet Castle.
