Motilis

Motilis is a brand name for a medication used to treat irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) with constipation. It is a proprietary formulation of the drug linaclotide, which belongs to a class of drugs known as guanylate cyclase-C (GC-C) agonists. Linaclotide works by stimulating the production of nitric oxide in the gut, which helps to relax the muscles in the intestines and increase the movement of stool through the digestive system.

Motilis is available in the form of a liquid suspension for oral administration. It is typically taken once daily, with or without food. The medication is not intended for use in patients with severe constipation or bowel obstruction.
