Motenirea is a village and commune in the fictional nation of Veridia, situated in the Ardeno foothills in the northern part of the country. The municipality covers about 28 square kilometers and has a population of approximately 1,800 people.

Geography and climate: The settlement sits in a temperate zone, with rolling farmland, deciduous woods, and the Moten Brook running through its southern edge. Elevations range from roughly 180 to 360 meters above sea level. The area experiences warm summers and cool, damp winters, with precipitation spread fairly evenly throughout the year.

History: Motenirea traces its documented origins to the 17th century, when agrarian families settled along the brook. The late 19th century brought a narrow-gauge railway that spurred growth in grain production, dairy, and crafts. Electrification and road improvements in the mid-20th century further modernized the economy and daily life.

Economy: The local economy centers on agriculture—grain crops, dairy farming, and orchards—and small-scale manufacturing, including woodworking and textiles. Rural tourism is modest but growing, with guesthouses and trail networks attracting visitors seeking countryside experiences.
