Moretonhampstead
Moretonhampstead is a market town and civil parish in the Dartmoor National Park, Devon, England. It is situated on the eastern edge of Dartmoor, about 12 miles southwest of Exeter. The town lies at an elevation of around 700 feet above sea level. Historically, Moretonhampstead was a significant wool trading centre, and its market charter dates back to 1207. The town retains a traditional character with a central square, historic buildings, and a parish church, St. Andrew's, which has parts dating from the 15th century.
