Monsignori
Monsignori is a title of honor bestowed by the Pope on certain clergy members of the Catholic Church. It is not an office or a degree of the sacrament of holy orders, but rather a distinction granted for service to the Church or for academic achievement. The title is derived from the Italian word "monsignore," which itself comes from the French "monseigneur," meaning "my lord." Historically, this term was used more broadly to address bishops and other high-ranking individuals.
