Monopolets
Monopolets is a municipality located in the inland region of the Republic of Sylvania, in the southwestern part of the country. The commune covers an area of approximately 24 square kilometers and is situated at an altitude of 752 metres above sea level. According to the most recent census of 2020, the population of Monopolets is 3,125 residents, giving the town a density of roughly 130 inhabitants per square kilometre. The local economy historically revolves around mixed agriculture, with wheat, corn and barley being the primary crops cultivated in the surrounding valleys. In recent decades, a small but growing artisanal craft sector has developed, focused on traditional textile weaving and wood‑carving.
