Modificherei

Modificherei is an Italian verb form that expresses a hypothetical action. It is the first person singular of the present conditional mood of the verb modificare, meaning to modify or change. The form is built from the stem modific- with the standard conditional endings, and an orthographic h to preserve the hard k sound before i: io modificherei, tu modificheresti, lui/lei modificherebbe, noi modificheremmo, voi modifichereste, loro modificherebbero.

In use, modificherei is employed to state what one would do under certain conditions, or to make a polite or tentative suggestion.
