MoEDAL
MoEDAL, or the Monopole and Exotics Detector at the LHC, is an experiment designed to search for new physics beyond the Standard Model of particle physics. It is located at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research. The primary goal of MoEDAL is to detect magnetic monopoles, hypothetical particles that carry a single magnetic pole, as well as other exotic particles that are not predicted by the Standard Model.
The experiment is unique in its design, utilizing a large superconducting magnet and a series of nuclear
MoEDAL's search for magnetic monopoles is motivated by the possibility that they could explain the quantization
