Mittelschichtwolken
Mittelschichtwolken, also known as altocumulus clouds, are mid-level clouds that typically form between 2,000 and 7,000 meters (6,500 and 23,000 feet) above the Earth's surface. They are characterized by their gray or blue-gray appearance and often appear as patches or layers of clouds. Altocumulus clouds can be further classified into several subtypes, including altocumulus stratiformis, altocumulus lenticularis, and altocumulus castellanus. These clouds are often associated with stable atmospheric conditions and can indicate fair to pleasant weather. However, they can also signal the approach of a warm front, which may bring precipitation. Altocumulus clouds are an important feature in meteorology, as they can provide insights into atmospheric stability and the potential for weather changes.
