MitoMete

MitoMete is a web-based tool designed to assist researchers in analyzing mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) sequences. It is developed by the RIKEN Center for Integrative Medical Sciences in Japan. The primary function of MitoMete is to facilitate the identification and annotation of coding and non-coding regions within mtDNA genomes, as well as to detect variations such as single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) and insertions/deletions (indels).

The platform utilizes various algorithms and databases to perform these analyses. Users can upload their mtDNA sequences in standard formats, such as FASTA.
