Miquella

Miquella is a significant, though largely unseen, character in the lore of Elden Ring. He is known as the Twin of Malenia and the wisest of the demigods, the child of Queen Marika the Eternal and King Consort Radagon. Miquella possessed an unparalleled innate magical talent, even as a child, and was known for his ability to bestow a powerful slumber upon those afflicted by curses or debilitating ailments. His primary objective was to escape the influence of the Greater Will and to find a way to elevate the Lake of Rot, a blighted land.

He is famously associated with the Haligtree, a colossal, magically sustained tree he cultivated as a sanctuary. This sanctuary was intended to serve as a haven for those shunned by the Golden Order, particularly his sister, Malenia, who suffered from the Scarlet Rot. Miquella sought to free her from this affliction and, in doing so, find a cure for all who suffered such fates. His research and efforts were directed towards creating an ideal world, free from the decaying influence of outer gods and the Golden Order's rigid doctrines.

The narrative suggests that Miquella was abducted from the Haligtree before his plans could be fully realized. This abduction is a central mystery and a driving force for many of the characters within Elden Ring, particularly Mohg, Lord of Blood, who claims to be Miquella's brother and seeks to elevate him to godhood in his own Empyrean ascension. Miquella's true fate and the extent of his power remain subjects of speculation and discovery for players.
