Mikroskiktet

Mikroskiktet is a Swedish term that describes a very thin layer or stratum within a material or environment, observable primarily through microscopy. The word combines mikros- (micro) with skiktet (the layer), and the concept is used across several disciplines to denote subunits whose thickness is typically on the micrometre or nanometre scale.
