Mikrohullámokat

Mikrohullámokat, in English microwaves, are a form of electromagnetic radiation with wavelengths ranging from about one meter to one millimeter, or equivalently, with frequencies between 300 MHz (0.3 GHz) and 300 GHz. These frequencies fall between those of radio waves and infrared radiation.

Microwaves are commonly used for telecommunications, including radar systems, satellite communications, and cellular networks. They are also the principle behind microwave ovens, where their electromagnetic energy is used to heat food by causing water molecules to vibrate rapidly. The frequency of microwaves used in these ovens is typically around 2.45 GHz.
