Microgliatargeted

Microgliatargeted refers to strategies and interventions designed to specifically interact with microglia, the resident immune cells of the central nervous system. These approaches aim to modulate microglial activity for therapeutic benefit. Microglia play a crucial role in brain health and disease, acting as sentinels that survey the brain environment, clear debris, and respond to injury or infection. However, their dysregulation can contribute to neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative conditions such as Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, and multiple sclerosis.

Microgliatargeted therapies can be broadly categorized into those that aim to activate microglia, suppress their activity, or redirect their function.
