Mesylaatti

Mesylaatti is a Finnish word, a Finnish translation and adaptation of the English term "mesylate." In chemistry, a mesylate is a salt or ester of methanesulfonic acid. Methanesulfonic acid, often abbreviated as MsOH, has the chemical formula CH3SO3H. The mesylate anion, CH3SO3-, is a good leaving group in organic chemistry, meaning it can easily detach from a molecule during a chemical reaction.
