Meroite

Meroite refers to a variety of geographical locations and concepts, most notably the ancient Kingdom of Kush, often referred to as the Kingdom of Meroë. This civilization flourished in what is now Sudan, centered around the city of Meroë, from the 8th century BCE to the 4th century CE. The Meroitic civilization was known for its iron production, its distinctive pyramid architecture, and its unique script, the Meroitic alphabet, which remains largely undeciphered.
