Merkos

Merkos refers to a prominent organization within the Chabad-Lubavitch Hasidic movement. Its full name is Merkos L'Inyonei Chinuch, which translates to "The Central Organization for Jewish Education." Founded in 1940 by Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak Schneersohn, the sixth Lubavitcher Rebbe, Merkos L'Inyonei Chinuch is dedicated to promoting Jewish education and observance throughout the world.

The organization serves as the educational and outreach arm of Chabad. Its primary mission is to disseminate Jewish knowledge, values, and traditions, particularly to those who are less affiliated or informed.
