Mercedes-EQ is the electric mobility sub-brand of Mercedes-Benz, the luxury vehicle division of Mercedes-Benz Group AG. The EQ name stands for Electric Intelligence and groups fully electric passenger cars and related services under a common branding strategy. Introduced as part of Mercedes-Benz’s broader electrification push, the first production model in the EQ family was the EQC, which entered markets in 2019.

Since then the Mercedes-EQ lineup has expanded to include models such as the EQA (compact electric crossover), EQB (compact electric SUV), EQE (mid‑size electric sedan), and the flagship EQS (luxury electric sedan) along with the EQS SUV. The brand’s product strategy emphasizes a growing family of electric vehicles built on shared technology and design language, with variations tailored to different segments and markets. The underlying architectures vary by model; flagship models like the EQS use an 800-volt electrical architecture to enable rapid charging, while other EQ models typically operate on a 400-volt system. Battery capacities and vehicle ranges differ across models and configurations.

Mercedes-Benz positions Mercedes-EQ as a central element of its strategy to electrify its entire lineup and reduce lifecycle emissions. The company offers charging services and integration under its Mercedes me Charge umbrella, providing access to public charging networks and home charging through a unified interface. Globally, the Mercedes-EQ range is a core component of the company’s plan to expand electric mobility across Europe, North America, and China, contributing to ambitions for carbon-neutral new-car operations by 2039.
