Menokerroille is a Finnish term that describes a particular type of moss, specifically referring to species within the genus Pleurozium. The most common species referred to by this name is Pleurozium schreberi, also known as Schreber's moss or red-stemmed feathermoss. This moss is widespread in boreal and temperate regions, particularly in coniferous forests, peatlands, and heathlands.
