Menakuti

Menakuti is a traditional Indonesian dance originating from the Minangkabau ethnic group, primarily found in West Sumatra. The dance is performed by men, hence the name "menakuti," which translates to "men's dance." It is a vibrant and energetic performance that showcases the Minangkabau's cultural heritage and is often performed during festivals and celebrations.

The dance is characterized by its dynamic movements, which include rapid footwork, intricate hand gestures, and expressive facial expressions. The performers, known as "penari menakuti," wear traditional attire consisting of a white sarong, a red or black vest, and a headdress adorned with feathers.
