Mellanband

Mellanband is a Swedish term that translates roughly to "intermediate band" or "midband." The expression is used in several fields to denote a portion of a spectrum or energy range that lies between a lower and an upper boundary.

In physics and materials science, mellanband is used to describe interband transitions, where electrons move between energy bands within a solid, typically from a valence band to a conduction band.
