For example, in the sentence "Tudom, hogy eljöttél" (I know that you came), the clause "hogy eljöttél" is a mellékmondatban completing the verb "tudom."

These subordinate clauses are crucial for constructing complex sentences, allowing speakers and writers to convey nuanced ideas, obtain greater precision, and express conditional, causal, or temporal relations.
