Materjalil

Materjalil is the adessive singular form of the Estonian noun materjal, meaning material. It is used to indicate a location on or at the material itself, often in technical, design, or manufacturing contexts where describing a surface or attribute of a material is necessary.

In Estonian grammar, materjalil is formed by adding the adessive ending -il to the stem materjal. This form helps specify that something is located on the material or refers to aspects associated with the material as a surface or object.

Usage examples are typically found in technical writing, product documentation, and material science descriptions. For instance, a sentence such as “Materjalil on muster” conveys that the pattern is on the material.
