Matalataajuusäänikanavat, often abbreviated as LFE (Low-Frequency Effects) channels, are a component of surround sound systems designed to reproduce very low-frequency sounds, primarily bass. These channels are dedicated to delivering the impact and rumble of sounds like explosions, deep bass music, and engine roars, which are typically below the range of standard audio channels.
The purpose of an LFE channel is to enhance the realism and immersion of the audio experience.
In home theater systems, the LFE channel is usually routed to a subwoofer, a loudspeaker specifically designed
