Massivoolumõõdikud

Massivoolumõõdikud, also known as mass flow meters, are instruments used to measure the mass flow rate of a fluid. Unlike volumetric flow meters, which measure the volume of fluid passing through a point per unit time, mass flow meters directly determine the mass of the fluid. This is particularly useful when dealing with fluids whose density can change significantly with temperature or pressure, such as gases.

There are several types of mass flow meters, with the most common being Coriolis mass flow meters and thermal mass flow meters. Coriolis mass flow meters operate based on the Coriolis effect, where a vibrating tube carrying the fluid experiences a twist proportional to the mass flow rate. Thermal mass flow meters, on the other hand, measure the amount of heat transferred from a heated sensor to the fluid, which is directly related to the fluid's mass flow rate.

The primary advantage of mass flow meters is their independence from fluid density variations. This makes them ideal for applications requiring high accuracy, such as in chemical processing, oil and gas industries, and aerospace. They can also provide accurate readings for a wide range of fluids, including liquids, gases, and slurries. The selection of a mass flow meter depends on factors like the fluid type, flow rate, operating conditions, and required accuracy.
