Masaka
Masaka is a city located in the Central Region of Uganda. It is situated approximately 140 kilometers (87 miles) southwest of Kampala, the capital city. Masaka serves as the administrative and commercial center for the Masaka District. The city is a significant hub for trade and agriculture in the region, with a local economy largely driven by the production of coffee, bananas, and other cash crops.
Historically, Masaka played a role during periods of political upheaval in Uganda. Its strategic location has
