Marienplatz

Marienplatz is the central square in Munich, at the heart of the city’s historic center. It has been the city’s main square since medieval times and continues to function as a hub of civic life and tourism.

square
serves
as
a
major
transportation
hub,
with
the
Marienplatz
U-Bahn
station
providing
access
to
lines
U3
and
U6,
and
tram
and
bus
connections
in
the
surrounding
streets.
