Malat2
Malat2, short for metastasis-associated lung adenocarcinoma transcript 2, is a long noncoding RNA (lncRNA) gene found in mammals, including humans. It is transcribed by RNA polymerase II to produce a single long RNA molecule that localizes to the nucleus in many cell types. Expression of Malat2 has been detected across multiple tissues, with patterns that vary by developmental stage and cell type, though overall abundance is moderate compared with other lncRNAs.
