Makrophageninfiltration
Makrophageninfiltration refers to the process by which macrophages, a type of white blood cell, migrate into and accumulate within a tissue. These cells are crucial components of the innate immune system, playing vital roles in phagocytosis, antigen presentation, and the regulation of inflammation. Their infiltration into tissues can be a normal physiological response to injury or infection, or it can be indicative of pathological processes.
In response to inflammatory signals or tissue damage, circulating monocytes are recruited to the affected site.
The extent and duration of macrophage infiltration are critical factors in determining the outcome of disease.
