Makrocytärisering

Makrocytärisering refers to the process of increasing the size of something, particularly in a biological or medical context. The term is derived from the Greek words "makros" meaning large and "kytos" meaning cell, so it literally translates to "making large cells." This phenomenon can occur in various biological systems and has different implications depending on the context.

In hematology, makrocytärisering often describes the formation of macrocytes, which are abnormally large red blood cells.
