Makhonjwa

Makhonjwa is a geological and scenic region located in the eastern part of Eswatini (formerly Swaziland), bordering South Africa. It is also known as the Barberton Greenstone Belt, though the Makhonjwa Mountains specifically refer to the South African and Eswatini portion of this extensive geological formation. These mountains are renowned for their exceptional geological heritage, featuring some of the oldest and best-preserved Archaean rocks on Earth.

The landscape is characterized by rolling hills, steep valleys, and dramatic rock formations.
