Magnetoerotus

Magnetoerotism is a phenomenon where an object or material becomes magnetized in response to an applied magnetic field. This effect is a result of the alignment of magnetic domains within the material, which are regions where the magnetic moments of atoms are aligned. When an external magnetic field is applied, these domains can reorient themselves to align with the field, causing the material to become magnetized.

The degree to which a material becomes magnetized in response to an applied field is characterized by its magnetic susceptibility. Materials with high magnetic susceptibility are strongly magnetized by an applied field and are known as paramagnetic or ferromagnetic materials.
