Magmadroths

Magmadroths are large, volcanic, reptilian creatures found in regions of intense geothermal activity. Their bodies are primarily composed of solidified magma, interspersed with veins of obsidian and other igneous rocks. A constant internal heat radiates from them, making their presence detectable from a considerable distance. These creatures are known for their immense strength and their ability to withstand extreme temperatures, allowing them to thrive in environments that would be lethal to most other life forms.

Their diet consists mainly of mineral-rich rocks and volcanic gases, which they absorb through specialized pores in their rocky hide. Magmadroths are typically solitary creatures, only coming together for brief mating periods. Their reproduction involves a process where a pregnant Magmadroth retreats to a deep volcanic vent and lays a cluster of heat-resistant eggs. The young hatchlings are initially small and more fluid, gradually solidifying and growing as they absorb geothermal energy. Their primary defense mechanism is their immense heat and the molten rock they can expel from their mouths.
