Mafinens are a fictional species originating from the planet Xylos in the Andromeda galaxy. They are characterized by their bioluminescent skin, which glows in various colors depending on their mood and environment. Mafinens possess a unique physiology, with a silicon-based skeletal structure and a circulatory system that uses a liquid mercury-like substance. Their average height is around 1.5 meters, and they have four limbs, two for locomotion and two for manipulation. Their heads are elongated, featuring large, multifaceted eyes that allow for excellent vision in low-light conditions, and a series of delicate tendrils used for sensory input and communication.
