Maanhoidossa
Maanhoidossa is a Finnish term used to describe the status of land that is under management, care, or administration by a person, organization, or public authority on behalf of another party. The word is formed from maan (land) and hoito (care, management) and is commonly found in legal, administrative, and policy contexts. In practice, maanhoidossa denotes arrangements in which the use, protection, and upkeep of land are handled by a custodian without transferring full ownership. This can include state or municipal management of public lands, forestry or natural-resource stewardship, and land arrangements where a landlord or authority supervises activities on leased or held land to safeguard its resources or public interest.
The concept also appears in cultural and historical discourse as part of broader traditions of land stewardship
Modern discussions of maanhoidossa often relate to environmental protection, sustainable forestry, land-use planning, and public access
