Maakuntahallitus
Maakuntahallitus, or the regional government board, is the executive body of a Finnish region (maakunta). Its central task is to prepare matters for decision by the regional council (maakuntavaltuusto) and to implement the council’s decisions. It also oversees the region’s day-to-day administration, finances, and the provision of regional services within its mandate.
