Maagvolume
Maagvolume refers to the volume the stomach can contain at a given moment. It depends on the stomach's size, wall distensibility, and the presence of ingested material. In healthy adults, the fasting gastric volume is small, about 50–100 mL, but the proximal stomach rapidly accommodates food through gastric accommodation, allowing storage with little rise in pressure.
