MUMIMOt

MUMIMOt is a collaborative project initiated by the Finnish National Agency for Education (Opetushallitus) and the University of Helsinki. The project aims to develop and promote the use of open educational resources (OER) within Finnish educational institutions. MUMIMOt focuses on creating, curating, and distributing high-quality, freely accessible learning materials for various levels of education, from early childhood to higher education.

The core philosophy behind MUMIMOt is to foster a more equitable and flexible learning environment by removing barriers to access and encouraging pedagogical innovation. By providing open resources, the project supports educators in adapting and customizing materials to suit the specific needs of their students and teaching contexts. This collaborative approach also encourages the sharing of best practices and expertise among educators across Finland.

MUMIMOt's activities include developing digital platforms for resource sharing, organizing training and workshops for educators on OER utilization, and facilitating the creation of new open educational content. The project emphasizes the importance of metadata and licensing to ensure that the resources are discoverable, usable, and legally shareable. Ultimately, MUMIMOt seeks to contribute to a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the Finnish education system.
