Märkäytynyt is a Finnish term that translates to "soaked" or "wet through" in English. It describes a state of being thoroughly saturated with liquid, typically water. When something is märkäytynyt, it has absorbed a significant amount of moisture, often to the point where it is dripping or heavy with water. The term implies a deep and extensive saturation, rather than a superficial dampness.
