Légzszervi

Légzszervi is a Hungarian term that translates to "respiratory" in English. It is used to describe anything related to the organs and functions of breathing. This encompasses the entire process by which an organism takes in oxygen and expels carbon dioxide.

The human respiratory system includes the nose, pharynx, larynx, trachea, bronchi, and lungs. Air enters through the nose or mouth, travels down the pharynx and larynx, then into the trachea, which branches into the bronchi. These tubes further divide into smaller bronchioles, eventually leading to tiny air sacs called alveoli within the lungs. It is in the alveoli where the crucial exchange of gases, oxygen and carbon dioxide, takes place between the air and the bloodstream.

Disorders affecting the respiratory system are referred to as légzszervi megbetegedések (respiratory diseases). These can range from common conditions like the common cold and influenza to more serious illnesses such as pneumonia, bronchitis, asthma, emphysema, and lung cancer. Symptoms of légzszervi issues often include coughing, shortness of breath, wheezing, chest pain, and difficulty breathing. Environmental factors, infections, and genetic predispositions can all contribute to the development of these ailments. Understanding the légzszervi system is vital for diagnosing and treating a wide array of health problems.
