Lämpömittaus, or temperature measurement, is the process of determining the degree of hotness or coldness of a substance or environment. It is a fundamental aspect of many scientific, industrial, and everyday applications. The most common unit of temperature measurement in the scientific community is Kelvin (K), which is part of the International System of Units (SI). Other widely used scales include Celsius (°C) and Fahrenheit (°F).
