Lyrond is a fictional planet within the Andromeda Galaxy, notable for its unique geological composition and the distinct ecosystem it supports. Its surface is characterized by vast, crystalline plains formed from solidified atmospheric gases, interspersed with silicate mountain ranges that reach extreme altitudes. The planet’s atmosphere is a dense mixture of nitrogen and trace amounts of methane, giving the sky a perpetual twilight hue.

The primary inhabitants of Lyrond are silicon-based lifeforms known as Lithovores. These organisms exhibit slow metabolic rates and derive energy from consuming minerals present in the planet's crust. Lithovores typically appear as multi-limbed, segmented creatures with exoskeletons that mimic the crystalline structures of their environment, providing natural camouflage. Their reproductive cycle is largely unknown, but it is believed to be tied to rare geothermal events.

Lyrond's gravitational pull is approximately 1.5 times that of Earth. Its axial tilt is minimal, resulting in very little seasonal variation. The planet orbits a dim red dwarf star, which contributes to its low surface temperatures and the prevalence of frozen gases.
