Lutetia

Lutetia is a name most commonly associated with the ancient city that stood on the site of present-day Paris. The Romans used Lutetia (or Lutetia Parisiorum) as the designation for the settlement of the Parisii along the Seine. In modern Paris, Hôtel Lutetia is a historic luxury hotel located on the Left Bank in the Saint‑Germain‑des‑Prés area. Opened in the early 20th century, the hotel became a landmark of Parisian hospitality and is noted for its distinctive architecture and place in the social and cultural history of the city.
