Luftseite
Luftseite is a term used in German engineering to denote the side of a device, system, or component that comes into contact with air. It is contrasted with the Flüssigkeitsseite (liquid side) or, less commonly, the Gasseite, depending on the application. The Luftseite describes the pathway and the thermal or mass-transfer processes associated with air flowing through or over a component.
In fields such as heat exchangers, filtration, and ventilation, the Luftseite refers to the air flow path
Design considerations for the Luftseite differ from those for liquids because air has much lower density and
The term is standard in German technical literature and is used in specifications for heat exchangers, filtration
