Luftprobenahmegeräte, also known as air samplers, are devices used to collect samples of ambient air for analysis. These devices are crucial for monitoring air quality, assessing pollution levels, and identifying airborne contaminants. They come in various forms, from simple passive devices to complex active systems.

Active samplers use a pump to draw a specific volume of air through a collection medium over a defined period. This medium can be a filter, a sorbent tube, or a liquid impinger, each designed to capture different types of airborne particles or gases. The choice of collection medium depends on the substances being investigated.
