Listových

Listových is a Czech adjective form meaning “of leaves” or “foliar.” It is used primarily in botanical and horticultural contexts to denote a relation to leaves or to leaf-like structures. The root comes from list, meaning leaf, with the suffix -ový forming a descriptive adjective. The form listových appears in various inflected phrases and compound terms, such as listových plochách (on leaf surfaces), listových buňkách (in leaf cells), listových žilách (in leaf veins), or listových žlázkách (foliar glands). In botanical usage, listových describes features, organs, or processes associated with leaves, distinguishing them from parts derived from stems, roots, or other plant tissues.

For example, listový versus listovitý: listovitý is often used to describe leaf-like or lamina-shaped forms (leaf-shaped), while listový more generally marks a true leaf-related relationship.
