Limfocytarnymi, also known as lymphocytarny, is a type of parasitic protozoan that belongs to the phylum Apicomplexa. These parasites are known for their ability to infect and replicate within the cells of their hosts, particularly lymphocytes, which are a type of white blood cell. Limfocytarnymi are responsible for causing lymphocytosis, an increase in the number of lymphocytes in the blood, which is a common symptom in infected individuals.

The life cycle of limfocytarnymi typically involves two hosts: a primary host, usually a bird, and a secondary host, often a mammal. The parasite completes its sexual stage in the primary host, producing oocysts that are shed in the feces. These oocysts can then be ingested by the secondary host, where the parasite undergoes asexual reproduction within the lymphocytes, leading to the observed lymphocytosis.

Limfocytarnymi infections are of significant veterinary importance, as they can cause immunosuppression and other health issues in infected animals. Diagnosis is usually based on clinical signs, hematological examination, and sometimes molecular techniques. Treatment options are limited and often involve supportive care, as there is no specific antiparasitic drug available for limfocytarnymi infections. Prevention involves controlling the primary host to reduce the transmission of oocysts to secondary hosts.
