Likströmsförsörjning, often translated as DC supply or direct current supply, refers to a source that provides electrical power in the form of direct current. Unlike alternating current (AC) which periodically reverses its direction, direct current flows in a single, constant direction. This type of power is essential for many electronic devices and systems.

Common sources of DC supply include batteries, which store chemical energy and convert it into electrical energy. Another prevalent method is the use of AC-to-DC converters, also known as rectifiers or power adapters. These devices take alternating current from the mains power grid and transform it into direct current, often at a specific voltage required by the connected device. Solar panels also generate DC power directly from sunlight.
