Liitpolümeer

Liitpolümeer, often referred to as a copolymer, is a polymer derived from two or more different types of monomers. Unlike homopolymers, which are made from a single repeating monomer unit, liitpolümeers possess a structure where different monomer units are linked together in a chain. The arrangement of these monomer units can vary, leading to different types of liitpolümeers.

One common type is a random copolymer, where the different monomer units are arranged randomly along the polymer chain. Another is an alternating copolymer, where the monomer units alternate in a regular pattern. Block copolymers consist of long sequences, or blocks, of one type of monomer followed by blocks of another type. Graft copolymers have side chains made of one monomer attached to a main chain made of another monomer.

The properties of liitpolümeers are typically a blend or modification of the properties of the homopolymers that could be formed from the individual monomers. This allows for the creation of materials with tailored characteristics, such as enhanced strength, flexibility, thermal stability, or chemical resistance, depending on the specific monomers used and their arrangement.
